Moving Floor Swimming Pools
Moving floor swimming pool design from Design by Guncast
A Guncast moving floor swimming pool offers versatility, multi-functionality and ultimate safety, at the touch of a button.
The "pool" area can be transformed for entertaining or exercise, with the Guncast moving floor designed to take heavy loads of people and furniture.
Using a floor finish the same as the rest of the room or the pool surrounding, visitors may not even be aware that the pool exists beneath their feet.
Basements and moving floor swimming pools
A Guncast moving floor swimming pool is ideal for luxury properties in cities with limited space to expand. By installing a swimming pool with a moving floor in a basement for example, the property will feel as though it has been expanded without enlarging the property's footprint or losing any rooms.
Outdoor moving floor swimming pools
For outdoor swimming pools, a pool can be transformed into a deck or terrace simply by raising the floor of the pool to instantly create an entertaining space, providing at the same time the safest environment as it leaves no possibility of children or pets falling into the water unsupervised, or tripping on the edge of the pool.
The swimming pool floor can also be moved to variable depths to meet various purposes such as swimming lessons, aqua aerobics or hydrotherapy, also offering enhanced swimming pool safety.
Why select a Guncast moving floor swimming pool?
Guncast is able to offer a complete design and build turnkey solution and benefits from in-house teams in each specialist area:
- Water treatment
- Moving floor
The Guncast moving floor swimming pool system
Guncast predominantly uses patented spiralift technology for their moving floor swimming pools. The benefits of this unique mechanical lift technology include:
- Scalable and increased static and dynamic loads
- Simplified installation
- Reduced closed height of just 500mm
- Flexibility in design with multi-functional capabilities and articulated floor sections
- Robust components including 316L stainless steel construction
- Reduced maintenance
- Possibility to “retro-fit” into an existing pool shell
The swimming pool water remains within the swimming pool and circulates through the filtration system as normal, while under the floor.
The moving floor pools can be constructed to fit any requirement and they can be designed to a bespoke shape. The moving floor is generally finished as per the pool surround - i.e. tile or decking - to “hide” the pool, however it can be designed to suit any finish - i.e. glass or mosaic - to create an eye catching feature, and the options here are almost limitless!
Each project is closely managed by your Guncast expert and the architect or project manager from conception to completion.
